It is safe to say that last year was truly the wildest year that I have experienced in my lifetime. Granted, it is true that I am not actually that old and have not been alive for very long; however, the effects of pandemic  that took place during last year (and continues to be a problem in our world today ) had lasting impact on our economy, our government, as our state of mind as a people. Things became very divisive very quickly in the wake of such a serious pandemic (though some people do not agree that this pandemic was a serious one). Either way, it is time to say that the world will likely feel the effects of pandemic even 50 years into the future.

In my personal opinion, pandemics will become something that we have to deal with very regularly, like the flu or any other sickness that works in a similar fashion. With all that being said, there was a lot that happened in the business world that has caused eCommerce to absolutely explode in the current year. ECommece was quickly gaining traction in the business world for many years before last year, but it is safe to say that last year caused eCommerce to be one of the most lucrative forms of business that we can see to date. Because of that, it is possible to see lots of young business entrepreneurs and moguls trying to cash in on their section of the eCommerce market in whatever way they can. Well, if you are starting an eCommerce business in this year, then there are a few things that you need to know before you actually roll up your sleeves and get involved with the foundational work of building your business. 

The firs thing that you need to do when starting any sort of business, including an eCommerce business, is figure out what you are going to be selling. If you want your business to eventually start paying the bills and kicking you back some serious income, you are going to need a product that really sells and can return a nice profit. With all that being said, choosing the right product for an eCommerce business model is even more important, since the model heavily relies on the product experience and not so much the purchasing experience that you might find in a really physical store or something like that. So once you have figured out what kind of product you are going to sell, you are going to have to figure out if you can actually sell it. Is there a market for the product that you want to sell? How many people are already selling this same product? Are there eCommerce stores already doing the same thing? These are great questions to ask yourself before getting too invested in any single product that you may potentially want to sell. 

Another thing you want to keep in mind is that, when selling your products online, you are going to have to spend money on shipping your products to your customers. Since you don’t have an actual physical store with an eCommerce business, having the right sort of packing supplies and shipping boxes on hand is going to be crucial. Proper packing supplies that keep your product safe and secure during shipping is crucial to the success of your business.
